Community members from Fishing Lake Métis Settlement along with the Life Skills Journey Program Coordinators presented the Life Skills Journey project at the C2UExpo hosted by Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia. The C2UExpo is committed to providing space to discuss, analyze and synthesize partnerships that address real social and environmental challenges faced by Canada.

 

January 2017

A Life Skills Journey team member presented on Community Based Participatory Research at the Ethnographic & Qualitative Research Conference hosted by the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, USA. EQRC is a longstanding national research conference that has become a staple forum for presentations and engagement of ideas in qualitative research.

 

November 2015

Community members from Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement presented the Life Skills Journey project at the Healing Our Spirits Worldwide conference in Hamilton, New Zealand. This conference attracts speakers, researchers, and community members from around the globe in order to create an international platform and movement focused on alcohol and drug abuse issues and programs in Indigenous communities.
